Animalistic began with a zebra print necklace. The moment I found those long tubular zebra jewelz, I knew I was going to create something bold, strong, and unlike anything I had made before.

The pot came later, discovered at White Dove Thrift Shoppe, and it immediately felt like the perfect foundation for the vision.

What took the longest was the basket, the lower section where the four strings separate into eight and cradle the pot. For nearly eight months, nothing felt right. I couldn’t find the necklaces needed to complete the design, so the piece patiently waited until the right elements finally appeared.

Black onyx was added intentionally after I discovered it during a local business closing sale. Paired with the zebra pattern, it brought the strength and grounding energy I wanted this piece to carry. Black onyx is traditionally associated with protection, stability, resilience, and inner strength, making it the perfect finishing touch for this design.

Created from thrifted and donated treasures sourced around Arizona, Animalistic came together intuitively, one piece at a time, when the design was finally ready to be complete.

Because every element is vintage, handmade, or individually sourced, Animalistic is truly one of a kind. There will never be another exactly like it.

Created by Christine, a former Labor and Delivery nurse who developed CRPS after a life changing injury. Each piece is part of my ongoing physical and emotional therapy and is intuitively designed from thrifted and donated treasures. Creating with these hands is difficult and time consuming, which is why every finished piece is celebrated.
