Desert Jewelz is a celebration of the Southwest, inspired by the warm blush, coral, and golden tones of the Arizona desert.

When I found a handcrafted necklace created by a local artist, I immediately knew I wanted to pair it with another necklace I had been saving. Together, they became the inspiration for this piece, blending two stories into one new beginning.

Moonstone, sunstone, lava rock, Krobo beads, and vintage jewelz were thoughtfully reimagined into a flowing plant hanger that honors both artistry and renewal. Each element was once part of something meaningful and now carries its story forward through intentional design.

Moonstone is often associated with intuition, balance, and new beginnings, while sunstone represents warmth, optimism, and creativity. Lava rock is traditionally connected with grounding, strength, and resilience. Krobo beads, handmade in Ghana from recycled bottle glass, represent transformation, heritage, community, and generations of craftsmanship. Together, these elements add meaning to the design while reflecting the strength and beauty of the desert landscape.

At the center rests a hand-painted desert pot featuring Arizona mountain silhouettes, grounding the piece in a sense of place and celebrating the beauty of the Southwest. The textures of stone and glass reflect desert light, open skies, and the quiet beauty of the landscape.

Because every element is vintage, handmade, or individually sourced, Desert Jewelz is truly one of a kind and will never be recreated.
